What payment methods do you accept?
My premier Paypal account accepts credit or debit cards, as well as echecks and balance transfers. I also accept credit cards through Google Checkout, which waits until I approve the total before I charge your card -- that way, I can apply any multiple item or shipping discounts before you pay. If you prefer to send payment via snail mail, I accept a money order or cashier's check in U.S. funds, or personal check from the U.S. only. Please wait for my email (less than 24 hours) so I can apply any discounts coming to you. E-checks and personal checks usually require a wait of 5-7 business days to clear.
What if I am not satisfied with my item?
All my items - new, vintage, or antique - are backed up with a 100% Golden Rule guarantee: if you are not satisfied, just let me know (firstname.lastname@example.org). I'll most likely ask you to return it in its original packaging within 7 days for a full refund. If my description is in error, I'll also refund shipping both ways. Of course, I'm always willing to answer any questions you have about an item before you purchase it. You'll receive a reply to your questions within 24 hours, normally much sooner.
Where do your items come from?
Everything in my store has been carefully selected by myself alone - they never come from a drop shipper or other third party. I take the photographs, I write the descriptions, and the items are in my home office-turned-warehouse while I'm listing them.
One of the best things about my online selling hobby is the shopping - estate sales, thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, library book sales, benefits - where the treasures I find are worth many times more than I pay, so that I can pass big savings on to you.
Can I save money by purchasing more than one item?
Sure you can! Not only will I combine shipping, but you will also receive a multiple item discount - from 10% for 2-3 items to 25% for 8 items or more. If you want to pay right away, your discount will be in the form of a refund through Paypal, if that's the online service you chose. If you choose Google Checkout, I'll do only a partial charge on your card in the first place. Alternatively, if you can wait 24 hours (usually less), you can contact me directly (email@example.com) before you pay, with your shopping list, zip code, and payment preference, and I'll send you an adjusted invoice with your discount included.
What shipping method do you use?
In general, books and videos are shipped using USPS media mail (5-7 days). Shipping fees are calculated based on USPS rates. If you buy more than one item, if possible I will combine them into one package and adjust your final bill so that you won't pay excessive postage. I do this once I receive an order from you. If you pay at the same time as you order, the excess shipping will either be refunded (Paypal) or not charged in the first place (Google Checkout). HOWEVER, if you'd like your package to arrive earlier, let me know so I can choose the best rate and charge the correct shipping fee for your needs.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely! International rates from the United States vary, so if your shipping charge seems wrong, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for a shipping quote, then wait for my revised invoice before paying. Standard shipping method is USPS first class international - the cheapest rate offered by the post office, but does not provide tracking services or a guaranteed delivery date. Email me for a new rate quote if you'd like to use a different shipping method.
Snail mail payment by personal check is NOT accepted from countries outside the U.S.
What's this I hear about BOGO?
Occasionally I'll offer one of my categories here for sale as "Buy One Get One" free. The lesser price of the two items you choose will be deducted from your total. As usual, you'll also be saving on shipping. This happens when I charge your order if you're paying with Google Checkout. If you use Paypal, I'll send you a Paypal refund. Wait for an email with the revised total if you choose to pay with a money order.
Can I buy more than one copy of an item?
While there are a few exceptions, most of the items in my store are single copies. But it does no harm to check! Just drop me an e-mail to see if I have more than one copy in my inventory.
Can I cancel my purchase?
Since it is the goal of both buyer and seller to fulfill a purchase as quickly as possible, I can't promise to cancel an order after you have paid for it. But if you have questions or can't decide whether to buy an item, please let me know before you pay. Take all the time you need to decide before you commit to your purchase by paying for the item. After you pay, the item will be on its way to you, usually within 24 hours.
